Badan Pertanahan Nasional (BPN) Lombok Timur menegaskan bahwa sejumlah dokumen tanah lama akan kehilangan status hukumnya mulai Februari 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Kepala Seksi Penetapan Hak dan Pendaftaran BPN Lombok Timur, Darmawan Wibowo, mengungkapkan bahwa enam jenis surat tanah lama\u2014yakni girik, petuk landrente, letter C, kekitir, pipil, dan verponding\u2014tidak lagi dapat dijadikan dasar kepemilikan maupun penguasaan tanah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAturan ini mengacu pada Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 18 Tahun 2021. Pemerintah sudah memberikan masa penyesuaian selama lima tahun sejak regulasi tersebut diterbitkan,\u201d ujar Wibowo, atau yang akrab disapa Wawan, saat ditemui di Kantor BPN Lombok Timur, Jumat (23\/01\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Ia menjelaskan, dokumen-dokumen tersebut sebelumnya memang digunakan sebagai bukti penguasaan lahan sekaligus tanda pembayaran pajak sejak masa kolonial hingga diberlakukannya Undang-Undang Pokok Agraria. Namun dalam ketentuan pertanahan saat ini, negara hanya mengakui sertifikat hak atas tanah sebagai bukti kepemilikan yang sah, baik dalam bentuk cetak maupun elektronik.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSaat ini yang memiliki kekuatan hukum penuh hanyalah sertifikat. Sementara surat tanah lama fungsinya sebatas sebagai data pendukung dalam proses penerbitan sertifikat,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Meski status hukumnya tidak lagi berlaku, Wawan menambahkan bahwa dokumen-dokumen tersebut masih dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai persyaratan administrasi dalam pengurusan sertifikat baru, termasuk untuk keperluan jual beli atau penyelesaian sengketa tanah, selama tidak bertentangan dengan putusan pengadilan.<\/p>\n<p>Di wilayah Lombok Timur dan Nusa Tenggara Barat, surat pipil disebut paling banyak dimiliki masyarakat. Sedangkan letter C dan kekitir relatif jarang ditemukan karena berasal dari sistem administrasi pertanahan di Pulau Jawa.<\/p>\n<p>Wawan juga mengimbau masyarakat agar segera melakukan konversi dokumen lama menjadi sertifikat guna menghindari persoalan hukum di kemudian hari. Ia sekaligus meluruskan kabar keliru yang menyebutkan bahwa tanah tanpa sertifikat akan diambil alih oleh negara.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cItu tidak benar. Negara tidak serta-merta mengambil tanah masyarakat hanya karena belum bersertifikat,\u201d tegasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Menurutnya, program sertifikasi tanah secara besar-besaran saat ini telah berjalan hampir di seluruh Indonesia, seiring dengan pemetaan bidang tanah yang semakin lengkap. BPN Lombok Timur pun membuka layanan bagi masyarakat yang masih memegang girik atau pipil untuk diproses menjadi sertifikat resmi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKami siap mendampingi masyarakat Lombok Timur.
