Pelantikan tersebut berlangsung di Aula Dinas Dikbud Lombok Timur, Jumat pagi.<\/p>\n<p>Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Lombok Timur, Muhammad Nurul Wathoni, mengatakan penambahan pengawas ini dilakukan untuk memperkuat fungsi pengawasan di lingkungan pendidikan. Saat ini, Lombok Timur baru memiliki 44 pengawas sekolah, dan dengan penambahan 29 orang, total pengawas menjadi 73 orang.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecara ideal, kebutuhan pengawas di Kabupaten Lombok Timur sekitar 170 orang. Artinya, kita masih kekurangan kurang lebih 100 pengawas,\u201d ujar Wathoni.<\/p>\n<p>Ia menegaskan, ke depan pihaknya akan terus berupaya berkoordinasi dengan pemerintah pusat agar tersedia ruang dan kesempatan bagi guru-guru yang memiliki potensi dan kompetensi untuk mengikuti seleksi pengawas sekolah. Dengan demikian, kekurangan pengawas dapat terpenuhi secara bertahap.<\/p>\n<p>Menurutnya, mekanisme pengangkatan pengawas saat ini telah menggunakan sistem berbasis regulasi. Calon pengawas harus mendaftar melalui sistem, kemudian mengikuti uji kompetensi. Hanya peserta yang lulus uji kompetensi yang dapat melanjutkan ke tahapan berikutnya.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSekarang tidak lagi seperti pola pengangkatan sebelumnya. Semua harus melalui sistem dan uji kompetensi. Kalau tidak lulus, memang tidak bisa menjadi pengawas,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Terkait minat guru menjadi pengawas, Wathoni menyebut kekurangan pengawas masih cukup besar. Oleh karena itu, pihaknya akan terus mendorong guru-guru yang memiliki kompetensi, pengalaman luas, serta pengalaman manajerial untuk mengikuti seleksi pengawas sesuai regulasi yang berlaku.<\/p>\n<p>Ia juga menjelaskan bahwa tugas pokok pengawas telah diatur dalam peraturan kementerian. Pengawas bertanggung jawab memastikan penyelenggaraan pendidikan berjalan sesuai regulasi serta memastikan program-program Kementerian Pendidikan terlaksana dengan baik di sekolah, berdasarkan rapor pendidikan masing-masing satuan pendidikan.<\/p>\n<p>Pelantikan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengawasan dan mendorong peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Kabupaten Lombok Timur.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Penegak.com &#8211; Selong, Pemerintah Kabupaten Lombok Timur melalui Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan melantik sebanyak 29 pengawas sekolah baru.
